About the Resort

Est. 1987

A Tradition of Distinction

Central UK Resort Hotel was founded in 1987 by Sir Edmund Cavendish, a hotelier with a vision to create a destination that would set a new standard for British luxury. The original Victorian manor, dating to 1882, was meticulously restored to its former grandeur — a project that took three years and over eight hundred skilled craftspeople.

Over nearly four decades, the resort has expanded thoughtfully — always honouring the character and heritage of the original estate while embracing the finest in contemporary design and technology. Today, it stands as one of England's most celebrated resort destinations, welcoming distinguished guests from across the globe.

Our philosophy is simple: every guest deserves to feel extraordinary. From the moment you arrive beneath our colonnaded entrance to the moment you depart, we devote ourselves entirely to your comfort, pleasure, and delight.
